Second Master degree in different discipline

Post by lugoo » Mon Jun 03, 2013 5:21 pm

Hi, I am thinking to apply for a new MSc degree in Accounting. I did my MA in a totally different discipline (Literature) several years ago in the UK but then moved to the industry worked as an accountancy since then. I'd like to know if there is any restriction applying on that? Thank you

Your existing academic achievement (degree/qualification) instead of work experience on tier 4 category must meet the UKBA academic progression criteria. Refer to it:

Please donot send PM. Write in open forum to facilitate others too.

Thank you sheraz7. It seems that the term "your new course represents academic progress from your previous study" is against me on the application but in the example given in the section of Academic Progression the sentence "you can be assigned a CAS ... to study for a qualification that complements or enhances your previous studies at the same level." reads that my application could be considerable. Really confused.

Come on! Where is the confusion?

Regardless whatever job you are doing, do you think MSc in Accounting has anything to do with MA in Literature OR Accounting can complements or enhances the Literature (i.e. previous studies)?

If answers is yes, than you can take a chance!
