Sponsoring in laws with pending ILR

Post by cjlk2002 » Mon Jun 03, 2013 8:38 pm

Hi All,
Just need some help with a Family visitor Visa my in laws are planning to apply. Here is the case.

I and my wife have applied for ILR (SET (o) ) in february and we are still waiting for a decision. My local MP is dealing with the home office on my behalf now.

My wife is pregnant and we are expecting a baby in 4- 5 weeks time.

My in-laws are retired, but own a couple of properties and have a steady income from renting them.

We would like them to be here to during this time as this is our first baby.

I have a good income around £40k and own a 3 bed property. I sponsored my parent a couple of year ago in the same category and they were granted the visa.

My questions are :

1) Can I sponsor my in-laws now or do I have to wait for my ILR?

2) As I do not have my ILR yet what are the chances of my in-laws getting a family visitor visa if I sponsor them.

Thanks you in advance.
