I'm not sure if it also existed for family members, but may be that is what mobismome's friend has. If that is the case, I think he just can use form EEA4 and leave about everything blank; just write (in a cover letter or on the form) that he has already acquired PR in 2003, and has not been outside of the UK for more than two consecutive years since then.(5) Where a residence document issued under the 2000 Regulations has been endorsed under the immigration rules to show permission to remain in the United Kingdom indefinitely it shall, after 29th April 2006, be treated as if it were a permanent residence card issued under these Regulations and the holder of the permit shall be treated as a person with a permanent right of residence under regulation 15.
can't he just apply for british citizenship,he would avoid renewing the PR every 10 years ,unless his nationality doesn't allow dual citizenship..!!mobismome wrote:hello guys pls my friend's permanent residence card is due for renewal ie after 10 years of issue which form should he use for this as he is so confused.
