British passport for child under 2 yrs- few queries plz

Post by longresidence » Thu Jun 06, 2013 12:38 pm

Dear friends,

I thought that I would apply British passport for my child yesterday, But I waited because of few queries are there, can anyone please help this out.

1) in Section 2- what title should I write in the passport form for child under 2 years- is it okay to TICK Mr in the form.

2) On the counter-signatory, they have mentioned Mr on the back of the photo, is it okay guys?

3) Does IPS office contact counter signatory regarding the child?

Last one please

4) I am planning to apply tomorrow- does anyone know how long it takes to approve and get passport back to my address by sending CHECK AND SEND SERVICE?

5) Or is it worth by going to apply as Fast-track? how long does it takes to get passport to us by attending fast track.?

Ur replies are worth helpful guys. Thanks in Advance

Then MR is correct. :)

Don't use check and send. Fill the form up carefully and apply direct.

Why would you want to do fast track? Is there an emergency?

People don't have money to eat, so why would you want to waste money just for the buzz of having a instant red passport for the child?

Now lets examine what check and send does.

Check and send basically just puts all your original papers in a pouch and sends it to IPS. There is nothing else that they do. So, why not send the application direct to IPS? Check and send is of no benefit for first passport applications.
