Dear Seniors
I have a question while filling the Set(LR) form for 10 years long residency.
I have TFL fine £117(travel without valid ticket) through court back in 2004 and obviously paid that fine then.
After that i have couple of clean CRB checks.
My question is now while completing the form do i have to declare what happened in 2004 or it just clear away.
As far as my concern 9 years has passed after that incident and there is not a single offence came against me and the minimum 5 years has passed after that incident as per requirement.
Seniors please advice on that matter is that need to be declare or not.
Thanks in advance.

Declare the offence, given the elapsed time it should pose no issue, try not to worry unduly,

Thanks for the reply
D4109125 and sheraz7
I don't have the problem for the declaration but problem is I lost all the details
Also I found a link about spent conviction in UKBA web
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... character/
saying the fact that doesn't need to be declare, because this is already spent.
I know this is a small matter but I have to be absolute sure about that before making the application
Please seniors advise the procedures if any.
Thanks again

Just put in the extra information box, that you were fined in 2004 for fare evasion. Also, the link you gave is for naturalisation not settlement.

It must be seen as low level of offence and therefore most probably be ignored. But disclosing it would be better even with as much as information you can remember.

Don't be tense, just pop the information down in the extra box and forget about it.

Dear D4109125
Sorry to bother you again, where does that classify is that Criminal offence or Civil Judgement
secondly you advise me to 'just pop the information down in the extra box'
which box you are suggesting in the form.
I know it's bit silly but to confirm.
please advise as before.

It is not a civil matter if you went to magistrates court. Just add a sheet of paper in your application headed 'extra information' and just write in 2004 I travelled on London Transport without a valid ticket and was subsequently fined £xxx. This fine was paid.
