Travel back to UK on birth certificate

Post by ashpan23 » Thu Jun 06, 2013 8:13 pm

Hi All,

I got ILR on last march and after that my son born. I applied his Indian passport and today I went for ILR for him. But caseworker has not taken his application. I have to travel in 15 days . All tickets are booked. Can seniors suggest some option.

1. If he has just Indian passport and birth certificate , is he able to enter in UK.
2. Can I get right of abode certificate within 1 week in UK or
3. Can I get right of abode certificate within 1 month in India

Cheers,
ashpan23

In theory yes, but in real life never. No airline in this world will let your son board the aircraft.

No.

Most likely not. Check British HC website in India.

Is there no Express option for a British Passport for the child open to you?

You'll have to wait a few more weeks, I'm sure it'll be with you soon.
