Leave to Remain Letter

Post by isaac2k2 » Thu Jun 06, 2013 10:02 pm

Hi all

About 3yrs ago my visa was renewed for 3yrs after it was initially refused. I used a lawyer to file the case and it went well.

Now I am prepping for my ILR but I am finding myself in a confused situation. My first HSMP letter before I entered UK was in colored document but the renewal letter sent through the lawyer was printed black and white copy and signed but not photocopy.

I am keen to know if this OK to present for my ILR as original or was I to expect a colored letter. Not sure if anyone else who had gone through a lawyer after it was first refused got a colored approval letter.

Many thanks

Hello Isaac,

I was in your situation. Have HSMP approval (Like a certificate) on colored but extension initially refused, re-applied through lawyer and approval was black and white (Just letter) and ILR granted, ILR letter is black and white like the extension letter. No worries at all go for it provided you have met all that is required.

Best wishes
