Visitor Visa - Weird Situation

Post by spacelight » Sun Jun 09, 2013 1:40 pm

Hi guys, I have a 5 years visitor visa that is about to expire and I want to apply for a 10 years visitor visa, I'm currently self-employed working online, I make about 5000 GBP monthly; the problem is that the money is deposited to my UK bank account and I'm not in the UK. I have the following questions:

1) Since I'm not currently in the UK, I don't have access to original bank statements; if I print an online statement would they be able to verify it with my UK bank?

2) Would the fact that my income is deposited to a UK bank account make them think that I'm maybe working in the UK (I'm not!)?

I should point out that the income from my online work was consistent even while I was visiting the UK, so I'm really worried about that in particular; however it was not from a UK based company.

3) Should I just say "unemployed" and show them my parents bank statements? Would that be a better option in your opinion? Would it look weird since I'm 30 years old.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this, I'm really really worried.

Thanks!

Firstly, why do you need a long-term visa; do you visit the UK often, more than once or twice per year?

1) It would be expected that your bank verifies the statements before you present them.

2) It would and why is your income going into a UK account?

3) But you have a source of income so you fall into the unearned income category.

If you have remained within the rules under your current visa there is not need to assume they will deny you another, but it depends on your reasons to be in the UK.

All my friends are in the UK and I like to visit them from time to time. As to why I'm depositing to a UK bank account; my country is economically unstable that's why.

When I applied for my current visa I didn't have to fill any forms or supply them with documents; I think I should go with option 3 since it's the safest option.
