Tourist Visa or Family Visitor Visa

Hey Friends, I am planning to get my parents and in-laws to UK. I know ideally they should come on family visitor visa.

Will there be any issue if they come on tourist visa? Are there any specific requirements and evidences that tourist visa holder needs to produce during the stay or at the time of leaving UK?
