Tier 2 (General) sponsorship application

Hello experts,

Need your advice on earliest possible date for Tier 2 (General) sponsorship application.

1. My last Tier 2 (ICT) visa was valid till 14th August 2012

2. I left UK on 1st August 2012 and haven't entered again.

As I left UK on 1st August 2012, Can my employer apply for Tier 2 (General) sponsorship on 2nd August 2013?

Yes. This is possible. You need to show evidence for this. Your boarding pass/ immigration stamps for the day you left UK. Also your sponsor should have confirmed UKBA on 1st August 2012 that your work ended in UK before your leave expired.

The cooling off period will start right after the day you left UK.

As I left UK on 1st August 2012, Can my employer apply for Tier 2 (General) sponsorship on 2nd August 2013?[ Your new employer, provided they are a T2G licensed sponsor, can apply for a restricted CoS any time once they have done the RLMT (if needed) but your entry clearance will be subject to the cooling-off period. The earliest the sponsor's application could be considered will now be 11 July
