Sticky for CoS Application progress & CoS delays?

Post by rainbow456 » Fri Jun 14, 2013 3:16 am

Hi all - is it possible to create a sticky for CoS Application progress?
It seems there are lots of threads on the forums regarding this.

My company applied for a CoS prior to 5th May and my visa has just expired since. Two monthly allocation meetings have been held since, and so at the moment it is delayed by 5 weeks.

Anyone else having an issue with CoS delays at the moment?

Monthly applications are capped at 1725 per month - as the Tier 1 visa was closed off in April 2011, I'm expecting that there would be more applications than usual for CoS for May and June. Is it possible that applications could then be delayed indefinitely (especially for occupations that are not on the shortage list and Phd Level)?

Hi

The monthly CoS allocation limit is hardly an issue.

For the year 2012-13, Close to 10,000 CoS had remained unallocated.

The average number of CoS applied for, has been hovering around an average of 800-900 per month (against the cap of 1725 available every month).

Please see this link for more details. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/busin ... locations/

Also, if your employer applied for CoS on 5th May, you should have been assigned a CoS on 13th May (which was a Monday) so it might be worth checking with the employer if they made the application in May or June? (Cut-off for May was May 5)

So how about Unrestricted COS (tier 2 general)? My employer applied for UCOS on 28May but had heard nothing.

The cap does not apply to unrestricted CoS applications which are made from within the UK. It only applies to restricted CoS issued for applicants applying from outside the UK with an annual salary less than GBP 152,600

I know, I just worried about my UCOS since I have already booked PEO for visa application but do not get the UCOS yet after my employer requested increase of UCOS nearly three weeks.
