Tier 2 dependent child - Infant child travel question

Post by daggerhead » Sat Jun 15, 2013 1:34 pm

Hi ,
I am an tier2 ICT worker having wife and infant child (10 months) as dependents here.

My in-laws are planning to come over here for a short visit. My wife wants to send my child with them - as my child need some medical treatment . Can some one tell me whether this is fine - will UK authorities question this during travel out of UK ?

My inlaws will travel from india.

Please provide your valuable inputs.

UK Immigration wont ask you anything when you are leaving UK. It's only when you enter UK. Anyways, It would be wise to give them a consent letter from your end, Just in case. However, airlines have policies in regards to infants travelling without parents. You will have to check with them.

Also, you need to think about the regulations enforced by Bureau of Immigration in India.

Baby is bottle fed now and taking solid food so nothing to worry from the health perspective, if possible my wife will join her but it all depends on the situation.
