Post by ensign » Mon Jun 17, 2013 10:11 pm

Hi,
I'm planning to apply my ILR next month and have been worked for 3 different employer during past 5 Year, out of which 2 employer are closed and I had been out of country during that peroid. I can try and arrange back dated letter from those employer as a proof. If not what evedience do i need to show for my visit outside the UK.

Unlikely to be scrutinised unless near to the the prescribed limit (180 days in 12 months) a wage slip showing pay for when you were absent should suffice.

Yes i'm well within the 180 day limit. So if i will provide wage slip and bank statement for that peroid that will work in this case

Hi,
If you are lucky the CW might not ask for the employer letter at all. There are many cases of success without this piece of document (including mine).

On the other hand, if you can get a copy of your tickets for ur overseas visit, you can mention it along with a personal letter regarding your absences. As long as you are not producng any false documents, you should be fine.

good luck.

Hi Ensign / Amber

I managed to find this forum whilst googling for the evidence of work-related annual leave during stay as Tier 1 general.

Ensign - I would like to know if your ILR application was successful - as I am will have to apply for mine in March this year and I am chasing my previous employer for a letter to confirm that I was on annual leave when I was out of the UK. However I am not holding my breath over this as I don't think they will have any records.
