ILR success and some issues for you to notice

Post by gmatpz » Tue Jun 18, 2013 8:44 am

Firstly, thank God for everything He plans for me and the joy He puts in my heart. Also thank you all who contributes to this forum to make it the one-stop shop for all immigration matters.

I had a great experience in Solihull and got my IRL as T1 general smoothly. I do not want to repeat the procedures that have mentioned with details by other members. I want to bring about some little surprises that I did not expect so that you all can pay some attention to.

1: I was asked for company letter regarding my position and current pay although I submitted payslips and bank statements. I was not even planning to ask the company for the letter but I saw one success case mentioned it so I asked the employer for this letter as well which turns out to be a good decision. But I have a feeling even if I did not have the letter with me, I should still be fine but always prepare more than you think needed.

2: The case worker is a very nice lady and she definitely knows what she is doing and she even knows what I am holding in my folder across the window. And that is when she found I got my absence letter and said, you might as well give me that letter, :) BTW, I got loads absences, but my employer is very helpful by providing a absence letter with my paid holidays on.

3: I am not sure why people did not emphasize police registrations for their success stories. I want to emphasize this, make sure you have submitted the police registrations before you leave the window as the case workers who will do checks inhouse during your 2 hours waiting need to stamp it before handling you the confirmation letter.

Again, it is a very smooth and enjoyable experience and with you all good luck.

Not all persons/nationalities are required to register with police when they arrive in the UK.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
My ILR, MN1 and kids PP stories.
