EEA 2 PERMIT HOLDER + CHILD BENEFIT (Please help)

Post by fatimahh » Wed Jun 19, 2013 12:56 pm

Hi everyone, hope i get someone to help me with my concern.
I am a EEA2 permit holder with 5 years RC, hubby is French.I work and pay taxes as do my hubby. i have my baby 6month ago and as there was nothing stating on my RC such as "no recourse to public fund" and was told that i had the same right as an EEA, i claimed child benefit and while filling the form ticked No to the question related to immigration control.
My concern is that reading all those thread regarding benefit i seem to have done the wrong thing.
Do you think i should give them a call and cancel the child benefit and then refund what i received the last 6month?
Thank you for your advice in this matter
GOD BLESS!!!

You are not subject to immigration control and have the right to reside so claiming public funds is permitted.
