ILR application

Post by mahesh649 » Wed Jun 19, 2013 5:34 pm

Hi my wife is on tier 1 visa and i came along as dependent with her, we both at it engineers and employed. After my babay was born and mrs was on maternity leave and during that time we had a family tragedy back home and wife travelled with our baby and i joined them after a month, after the funeral, I came back to work as i had no holidays and Mrs stayed back with the kid to sort out our son tier 1 dependent visa , She in total stayed outside the country for about 70 days. She came back with our kid later. We got have tier 1 visa extended in uk later.

Because my wife left uk for maternity and family issues during those days and i stayed back, would this be a problems for us for ilr. I am really very upset and not sure what to do.

Why are you upset? What have you read that is telling you this effects your ILR application? Absence matters when you were away for more than 180 days in a year during your qualifying 5 yr period.

... and even if the rules said differently, would you comply and ignore the emergency at home so you could get ILR in the UK?
