Confusion on 15 Month period for Earnings

Hi All,

Does the 15 month period for earnings takes into account the month when the application is recieved? or the period starts from the month prior to the month application is filed?

I am about to file in my HSMP initial application and claiming points for salary for the duration of dec-2005 to Nov 2006. I am not sure whether my application will be processed in feb 07 or march 07. If it's march, then do the period I claim for will be within legal limits of the 15 month duration.

A quick reply/suggestion will really help me a lot.

15months prior to the date u apply.

If you apply in feb...then 15months will be x (2006) till jan 2007....so count from Jan 2007 backward till u get 15months.

Out of that 15months, u need 12months payslips.

I started with the same premise. However The HSMP application in section 1 heading 3(Previous earnings from your work) states this
"The earnings should be for any 12 month period during the 15 months immediately preceding the date of your application."

So it the application is recieved by the payment handling agency on say March 3, 15 months will be period will be calculated from march 2 counting bacwards.

or am I trying to read to much between the lines.
