Child Nursery Admission

Post by Sahib » Thu Jun 20, 2013 12:53 pm

Hi all,

I am currently on Tier 1 and will be applying for ILR soon.

I am filling out my child's nursery application form (Nursery run by local city council) and on the form it says, council may transfer information to its partners agencies in order child can get benefit from the services which those agencies provide. council's partners agencies are;
1- NHS
2- Skills Development, education establishments, training providers
3- Accord ( in order Accord can contact parents with regards to Accord Card. Accord card is used for cashless vending, cashless meals, free meals etc

NHS & Skills development are fine but my Question is; is it ok to avail services provided by Accord? I am asking due to the reason we are not allowed 'child benefit' and Accord provide free meals & vouchers. Does it come under 'child benefit' to avail services provided by Accord?

Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot Amber for your kind reply.

I was a bit confused on your answer 'NO' to understand as to which of my questions it refers to;
1- is it ok to avail services provided by Accord?
2- Does it come under 'child benefit' to avail services provided by Accord?

But then i noticed you made it bold Does it come under 'child benefit' to avail services provided by Accord? so i will take your answer 'NO' refers to question 2 and there is no issue to avail services provided by Accord.

Thanks again

To avail of child benefit you would have applied for child benefit on the appropriate form. Anything else does not constitute child benefit.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
