L 1 visa query

Hi,

I work for a company in Ireland over five years and been offered a position within that company in America on intra company transfer visa. I am indian national and would like to know the following:

1. Am I eligible for applying for a green card on this type of visa?
2. Can my wife work if she can find work?
3. How long the L 1 process times are? Do I need to go back to India to get this visa stamped on my passport, or can I apply in US Embasy in Ireland.
