Does British Passport child get PIO card??

Hi there,

I am confused with the indian high commission website that.....

My child is under 2 yrs old, and I am on ILR and my wife is on FLRM. We want to travel to india soon. I just want to know that my child is eligible to get PIO? if yes how long it takes to get?

on the website it says like I need to surrender passport. I am still holding indian passport. My earlier passport was expired. I got renewal on new passport. In that case what shall I surrender ? This PIO card is for my child, n my child doesnt have any passport other than british passport.

N also please let me know what are the documents to apply for the PIO card.

Guys, I am really not finding correct answers on the website and nobody answers the customer service phone. Its really clueless. If anybody know about PIO card for child please plz plz plz advice me on the above topic as a matter of urgency.

Applicants applying on parents/Grandparents basis:
a.British Passport,
b.Naturalization Certificate
c.Surrender Certificate of parents or grandparents, or Valid/Cancelled Indian Passport of parents or Grandparents of the applicant, or Birth Certificate of the parents or grandparents or School or College Certificate/leaving Certificate of the applicant or parents of the applicant
d.Applicants full version birth certificate
