How long would my issuing a Certificate of Sponsorship take?

Hi,

The charity I work for was recently awarded a visa sponsorship license (for Tier 5 voluntary workers only, and A rated). We have an American who wants to come and volunteer for us, but only if we can issue him a certificate of sponsorship very soon - every day counts. So I need to know how long it will take between my entering his details in UKBA's Sponsor Management System and him being able to apply for a visa, armed with the number we give him for his certificate of sponsorship.

Can anyone help me with this?
