Passport expire while ILR Wait

As most of the time ILR applications takes above 6 months, what would happen if someone passport expires while waiting for the outcome?

Should he need to provide a new one or UKBA is OK with expired passports?

it depends on UKBA I had a friend whose Visa expired while with UKBA and they still put a vignette on (issued him visa old style) then he had to get it transferred to the new passport took him 5 months and a lot of hassle



Always check ur passports months before applying to ensure these things dont hinder with ur extensions

Its always best to extend passport well in advance before sending to UKBA despite visa/ILR is now issued on BRP.
