Income Threshold

Post by jarod_217 » Sat Jun 22, 2013 4:33 pm

Hi,

I need advice on income threshold.

My wife and myself are working since January 2013 and continuing with the same employer. I am on salaried and earn the gross income of £1000/pm. And my wife gets pay every 4 weeks and the amount of gross varies (£750-£1000). Now my question is can we add our gross salaries together for 6 months and can show towards income threshold of £18,600. Please advise.

Thanks

Are you applying for settlement set(m)? If so, there is no financial requirement per se just that you should be able to adequately maintain yourself and accommodate without recourse to public funds.

Income Threshold

Thank you for the quick response.

I am a bit confuse that should I apply for settlement or do I need to switch her visa category to spouse visa.

I recently got ILR on (10yrs) April, 2013. My wife is my dependent since March 2009 on Tier-1. Last year, we extended our visa until May, 2014. Actually she is my depended since 2003 as a student dependent. Please adivsce.

Thanks

Flr(m) then set(m) under part 8 - the old rules. I think you've been told this before. Unless she can apply for set(lr) soon if she has 10 valid and continuous years in the UK as that would just be one application.

Income Threshold FLR (Application to extend stay in the UK )

Post by adamsaini » Sun Oct 18, 2015 10:01 am

I am British and my wife extension is due in six months trying to organise can someone help me regarding Cash saving requirement.

I am self employed taken off for 6 months doing study, I want to show Cat D cash saving for Financial Requirement, which is below, also our child was born last year in UK, now we have one child

7.1. Category D: Cash savings – requirements 7.1.1. An amount based on the cash savings above £16,000 held by the applicant, their partner, or both jointly for at least the 6 months prior to the date of application and under their control can count towards the financial requirement where applicable. (£16,000 is the level of savings at which a person generally ceases to be eligible for income-related benefits). 7.1.2. Category D:

The financial requirement does not apply to a child who:

 Is a British Citizen (including an adopted child who acquires British citizenship);

Question 1: - who is applicant ?
( I believe my wife she applying for extension)
Question 2: - How much she had to show as cash saving ?
Above says 16k but form is confusing they want to divide by 2.5 something
Question 3: - My wife hold over 40k into her account is this fine or should be on sponsor name ?
I was reading thread people mentioned should be on sponsor name,if yes can I add my name into her account
Question 4: - Our kid was born last year in UK, she is British by birth this mean financial does not apply for her?
Question 5: - My wife claim Child benefit (20.50week) as I put her name as parent should I change to my name, but I believe it's not part of public benefit on her name ?

Question 6: - We moved from Scotland to London few months back, Bank statement and Dr surgery ID card will be enough to show as evidence for living together ? (we are together since she came to UK )

Question 7: - How long we can stay outside UK ?
some forum say 180 days in 5 yrs

Thanks

(migrant spouses’ employment income (if they are in the UK with permission to work)
