It is better you apply for for UK NAIRC, this will serve as evidence, as meeting English Language requirements.ab_ke_baras wrote:Hi, I am getting all the relevant info for applying settlement visa for my wife in Pakistan. This site has been very useful
I tried searching for English proficiency requirement thing but no luck. My wife has done MSC in Psychology from Punjab University (Lahore). Question is does she require to take CEFR(A) exam or can I apply for equivalent from UK NAIRC
Can someone tell me what options do I need to go for and docs I need to submit for English verification from UK NAIRC
Thanks in advance for all the help
Statement of comparability will do, but UK NAIRC will ask you to submit her degree certificate, transcripts and letter from the university stating that her degree was taught in English, if this will prove difficult for you to find, you can ask her to go and do English test in speaking and listening, this will still be accepted. When I applied for my spouse visa, I only submitted degree notification of result, which was refused, while I appealed, I stated there that I will be submitting the EILTS result within the next 4 weeks, ECM called me to bring the result which was submitted and visa was granted after 17 weeks. Good luck.ab_ke_baras wrote:@ johnj1
Thanks for the reply - just a quicky , do I have to opt for
1. statement of comparability (SOC)
and
2. English language assessment (ELA)
or just number 2 (ELA)
Thank again
