TD112 - SECTION 6 - Please Help!!!

Post by taraskyn » Tue Jun 25, 2013 11:56 am

TD112 - SECTION 6 - OBTAINING DOCUMENTATION FROM YOUR OWN NATIONAL AUTHORITIES.

Hi All!
This is application for Certificate of Travel and in this section 6 thay what a proof that your own authorities cannot issue passport or travel documents.
I am failed assylum, and has not been recognised as a refugee in the UK but I have been given discretionary leave to remain.
I cannot go to my authorities and ask them for documents because I escaped from my country. Even if uk authorities do not believe me it does not mean it is not true.
But in this form I have to show the letter saying that my own authorities refuse to give me one.
But how can I go there? I cannot go there.

Can anyone help please?

Why can't you go to your country's embassy even if you fled from there?

You are only going to your country's embassy to ask for a passport. They somehow won't kidnap you in embassy and send you back home secretly.

The most they can do is, refuse you a passport. When they do refuse you passport, your job is done, you get a UK TD.

I do not see any problems. Just go there, fill up a passport application form and hand it over with fees etc. You win if they issue you a passport and you win if they refuse you.

HI! Thanks for your reply.
Even if I go there they will not even accept my application. And they will not give me a letter explaining this. So basically I will not have a proof that they refused my application. And I will have nothing to attach to my application for travel document. I will be left with nothing just as when I started.
Why cant I just in my application for travel document point to the my country's Law which explaining this? This is law, right? not a policy.
What do you think please?

How do you know without even going there once? You must try it atleast. Its no good just sitting at home and concluding that this won't happen and that won't happen.

If you can prove to UKBA that they won't even accept your application then they might give you a TD for one year.

Home office travel document is basically a rubbish document as far as international travel is concerned.

All the info you need is in this link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... qualifies/

And I am afraid, there are no other magic pills to get over this hurdle. If you are able to follow what info is in the link, then you will get a TD. If you do not fulfill any criteria, then you won't get a TD.

Its not UK government's responsibility to provide TD to foreigners.
