Application form for Tier1 (G) PBS dependent

Post by aknight » Tue Jun 25, 2013 12:03 pm

Hi,
My wife has not completed 2 years on her Tier 1 (G) PBS dependent visa. I'm going to apply for ILR at PEO soon. After that I'd like to make my wife apply for her Tier 1(G) PBS dependent extension. If anybody already in similar situation or what form is required to use, can you please let me know?

I have been asking if I can take my wife along with me to PEO for her extension as well but I haven't seen any positive replies. Now, I would like to make her apply for extension after I get ILR.

Thanks very much.

Cheers,
Ram

I guess you can do that as I have seen people in this forum doing the same. If I were you I would do the following

(1) Book a date for the primary applicant (SET O) ILR application.
(2) Ask the dependant to book as TIER1 PBS dependant same date as the primary one but choose the time some what closer to the primary one ie later time than the primarly applicant.

Always remember that the dependant would only get her extension after the main applicant application becomes a successful. So you just have to try and make sure they both get to be seen by CW together.

You can do that but it is not advisable as some times it might get delayed in the decision for the main applicant due to some system issues or biometric machine not working etc etc..

So coming back to you question, Yes you can do that is it risk free ? No it is not....reasons as above.

When are you due for this ?

Thanks vivdubes for your quick reply.

Both myself's and my wife's visas expire by Dec 2013. By that time, she would only complete 1.5 years on her dependent visa. But, now I have already completed 5.5 years in this country and eligible for ILR.

As you suggested, if I book at slightly different times on the same day, then I have to pay in full for my dependent I guess. The question is if it is possible for my wife to accompany me at the same time, I probably pay 500 pounds less, because she's applying with me (though on different forms)? Is this possible?

Cheers,
Ram

NO that is not possible,

In all circumstances she had to pay extra and in full whether you do it by applying together at the same PEO (you applying for ILR and she applying for further leave to remain (Tier 1 extension)) or doing on seperate days, she has to pay the full £1920 fees, you cant get away with that unfortunately :(

The only other bit I can think of is (if you are so keen to save £500) is applying for your Tier1 extenstion and she would come under reduced fees which is definitely not a vice advice.

The only thing you can do is apply together same day/same PEO with a risk offcourse.

Thanks again!

Can you please elaborate this to me? You said this is the "only" thing I can do. Why is it the "only" thing? I can pretty much get my ILR and apply for my wife separately by post or at PEO.

Thanks

Sorry, if you felt unfair. Honestly, I was referring to your statement on a broader sense not to the context :)
