Statement of third party

Hi,
I am going to apply for tier 1 visa in next two weeks...PSW route...I am showing third party funds...third party is a friend of mine and he is a British citizen. My question is
1. Would my relation only as a friend would affect my application
2. How many months statement for showing £50,000 (third party) would I need
3. What are my options if bank does not agree to mention my name in the letter
