Citizenship approval letter , sometime invitation?? AMBER HE

Post by macjackbauer » Wed Jun 26, 2013 11:03 am

hi all,

recently i came across very strange issue.

When your citizenship application got approved, the UKBA sent out 2 kinds of letter to you. There is a brief copy of my approval letter, and my friends(down england)'s approve letter with invitation together.

My approve letter :

I am pleased to say that the application has been successful and you will shortly receive a letter inviting you to attend a citizenship ceremony. When you attend a ceremony you will be presented with a certificate of British Citizenship.

Please note, this letter is not an invitation to a ceremony. You should not contact your Local Authority until you have receive your invitation. If you have not received you invitation within 2 weeks of the above date, you should email the Nationality Enquires team at .....

-----
My friends' approve letter with invitation information inside:

I am pleased to tell you that the application for British citizenship has been approved. To complete the processor becoming a British citizen, you will need to attend a citizenship ceremony to receive your certificate. In the ceremony....

What you must do now
1. The ceremony will be arranged by the Local Authority whose details are shown below. Please contact the authority using these details within 21 days of this letter to book your ceremony....

2. The personal details below will appear on the certificate....

The ceremony
Please read the enclosed guidance notes as soon as possible....
---------

Therefore, my question is why is somebody getting just approve letter, and somebody getting approve letter with invitation information on it which means he can just go ahead to book the event ceremony ??????????????????

There should be two letters sent. An approval letter and a letter inviting you to the ceremony. As you've been approved, you could always ring your local register office and ask if you can book (they'll have a list) that is if you can't wait for your invitation.

Why are you making ANOTHER thread on this same subject? Even when people already responded to you and answered your question in the other thread?

Your letter says wait for the invitation letter. Which means it is NOT the invitation letter. You will receive the invitation letter soon, which is the one that will look like the one your friend has. Councils work differently which is why some people will receive the invitation letter only, which has approval on it, and some will receive an approval letter and then a separate invitation letter.

Just chill out and wait for the invitation letter.

Please keep making multiple threads on the same subject. Once your query is answered and everything is clarified in full details, please make another thread repeating the same query. Please keep doing it again and again and again.............................
