My team member had a degree in IT and I had a degree in accountancy. Our business was financial and book-keeping software develpment for small and medium sized businesses. This obviously involved both me (with accountancy background) and my partner with IT background.

Our business is not regulated by any professional body so no mandatory registration was required. They asked this question in interview and v gave them the same answer.

occupation skilled to graduate level requirement

Post by sanisha » Sun Jun 30, 2013 3:03 pm

I currently hold post study work permit visa (psw) and I am planning to apply under the tier 1 entrepreneur visa. My question is regarding occupation skilled to graduate level requirement.

I have done MS in IT from UK and currently hold PSW visa. I will incorporate an IT company within 3 months after the application for tier 1 entrepreneur visa. However, currently I have not yet received a job in IT field though I am searching for it. Therefore, is it a prerequisite for doing an IT job \occupation skilled to graduate level during the tenure of PSW i.e. before applying for tier 1 visa?

Your IT Degree is sufficient for Tier 1 Enterprenuer, by incorporating IT Company. However, there are lots of rejection in Tier 1 Enterprenuer route these days. Best would be Tier 2 General Work Permit.

@sanisha

its not prerequisite to have done job in IT before incorporating a IT company and applying for T1E though its good when u write a CV of urself.

u simply can establish any business or IT company..

for PSW->T1E u must have established a business(nvqf level 4 or above) and ur job in this business must at graduate level.

this business need to be trading as u need to provide a work contract with ur T1E application.
