Under-payment of Tax

Post by mooty » Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:47 pm

I have got 2 questions regarding my upcoming naturalisation. I would be grateful if somebody can contribute.
1. I am in full-time employment and a director of a Dormant company, in the application application form do I have to tick both 'employee' and 'Director' tabs? My company never traded and doesn't even have a bank account but the company is registered with the companies house for past two years, Everything is in order. No tax liability on company's name etc.
2. Couple of years back I had received a letter from Inland Revenue asking me to pay around £3000 because I had paid less tax during the previous 3 fiscal years. the problem was occurred due to multiple employments at the same time. I was given tax free allowance from both employer. Since then I have been paying that amount back. I have paid substantial amount back so far. to date I still owe around £1300 and that amount will be deducted via amendment in my tax code during next fiscal year? Is this under-payment like to cause me any problem for my naturalisation application?

See Question 22 of the British Citizenship – Good Character Requirement FAQs. As you are paying the arrears back this should not be indicative of tax evasion.
