ILR 10 year long residence

Post by m.sheikh » Thu Jun 27, 2013 6:45 pm

Guys,

I am currently on Tier 1 General and I am about to apply for ILR under 10 year long residence using form SET LR.

I have already passed Life In UK Test, do I need to pass a english language test as well or is Life in UK Test enough?

Regards
Rocky

Don't worry I found the answer, the Life In UK certificate clearly says that by passing this test I have proved that my english is at the required level and I do not need to do anything else.

So in other words just passing the Life In UK Test is enough unless I am applying in or after Oct 2013.

I cannot thank you enough for pointing out to me that once Life in the UK is taken you dont need to give English test. May Allah bless you with happiness and i pray for you on this blessed Jumma.

My wife just cleared her Life in the UK test and was told she must pass English test as well. We need to apply by monday and went to a local ESOL place, n a Pakistani fraud owner said he would complete the test in 10 mins but would charge £300. what rip off.

Thank you for saving us the hassle.
