IS NHS BURSARY A PUBLIC FUND

Post by chidak » Sat Jun 29, 2013 10:55 pm

I am an african but am married to a british (african origin). i have spouse visa that will expire in 2015. I have no recourse to public fund on my visa. Please I would like to know if I can enroll in university to study nursing. Nursing is nhs funded course. I would like to know if nhs can pay my tution fee when i start studying. I dont want to do anything that is illegal in uk which will affect me when i want to extend my visa.

Although a NHS bursary is not a public fund for the purpose of immigration. In order to get one I'm sure that you must have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years and be settled (have ILR). Neither of which you seem to meet, therefore, you should check the eligibility.
