can i book appointment online before marriage?

Can you please let me know If I can book an appointment online to submit my wife's VAF4A application(VFS Hyderabad) now, although am actually getting married in August. Or should it have to be done only after marriage? Since am not staying much time after marriage in Hyderabad, am not sure if i get an appointment slot while I was there, so am bit worried..

You do not need to be present at time of handing in application. Your wife can do that all.

If you submit an application before you get married....what document are you going to present as proof of your marriage??

I assume you will get the marriage certificate on or after you have gone through the marriage process in India....if so you will have no proof of marriage when you hand your application in.

You can apply the day after you get married,no problem, or follow my advice as in 1st paragraph

For a moment I thought 2/3 weeks before the marriage, I could fill in the application online(at VFS website) to secure an appointment date for the week just after the actual marriage would happen, so that my wife would apply for visa while I was there. By this time I will have marriage certificate and rest of the documents ready. But I don't think its possible, hopefully VFS Hyderabad wont be much busy in August..
