Life in UK Test for ILR Application after Oct 2013

Post by Zeeshan_humayun » Tue Jul 02, 2013 2:42 pm

Hi,

I have heard that for ILR applications after oct 2013, applicant have to pass both LIUK and English language test. I have Graduated from a University in UK, will I still have to pass both or will LIUK be enough?

If anyone have any info about this, please let me know.

Regards
Zee

No you don't need to do the course... However, LIUK certificate will be needed.

HI

We are going to apply for ILR in Feb 2013 so New KOL will apply. I just needed to check will UKBA accept Masters in English from Pakistan (which is equivalent to UK Bacholer) FOR MY SPOUSE or will she have to take English test for ILR. As there is no PBS Calculator for ILR so i tried to check if Masters in English from Pakistan earns English Points in UKBA Calcultor or not using Tier 2 General Option (only for checking purpose) and Calculator gave 10 points . Does it means She could reply on that for English requirment for ILR?

Kind regards

As a rule of thumb... If a degree is taught in english, it will work... She won't need to do a course here.... Just the LIUK test....
