Tier 1 (General) Spuse Visa from Pakistan

Post by najam1 » Tue Jul 02, 2013 9:48 pm

Hi,

I've recently extended my Tier 1 (General) visa and now its valid till June 2016.

I got married in August 2012 and my wife is still living in Pakistan. Now I am going to apply for her visa and got couple of questions:

- How much money would I need to show in my account?
- What is the current visa fee in this category?
- What is the average processing time?

Many Thanks,
Najam[/b]

You need to maintain £600 for your wife and £800 for yourself for 3 months

- What is the current visa fee in this category?
it's around PKR 1,38000

- What is the average processing time?
1 month

requirement is to keep £600 for your spouse. The £900 is for the british nationals but it is a good idea to keep at least £1500 in your account.

My wife applied couple of weeks ago and she paid 1,32,000 it depends on the exchange rate at the time.

My wife applied on 10 June and got answer on 02 Jul. Note there is no more right of appeal so make sure your docs are full.

Another quick question that has just been arisen:

As a main Applicant, I need to send a photocopy of my passport and Residence Permit Card - to be attached to my dependent's application.
Should that photocopy be attested/notorised ??

Yes it should be certified by any solicitor or I think but not sure you can do it from any post office.
