Citizenship Applications from 2011 and 2012

Post by moro1 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 9:51 pm

In the last year we saw a great and huge improvement concerning the timeframe of the citizenship process.
Thousands of Applicants were granted their citizenship, the train unfortunately missed few of us who are still waiting from 2011 or 2012 or maybe more.

This topic is dedicated to discuss this matter and understand what's really going on.
Can all applicants from 2011 or 2012 and before (hopefully they don't exist) and who have not heard any news yet concerning their application share their thoughts.

Hi @moro, there are no backlogs anymore. You can view the breakdown of the applications by year here
http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=137836

There are only 5,200 applicants currently waiting in excess of more than 6 months!

If you're one of those applicants, then its purely based on your application/case. A decision will however be made on your applicant by latest the end of the year presumably.

Thanks Integrated. I saw few posts from members talking about the department contacting them about their issues with the courts and immigration.
The issue is that I never had such an issue with the guards neither the court , arrived to the state as a minor at the age of 12 and now I am a student in college.
This is why opened this topic try to discuss the issue with others who have similar problem.
Hopefully we will hear good news soon..because this wait is a killer

I totally agree with you, the wait is a killer indeed. Especially having seen so many people you applied before gotten approved.

We also must agree that there is a reason unknown to you why your case has been delayed for so long which the INIS can never disclose to you. Because there is no backlog, whatever reason your case may be will be pushed really fast and you'll be notified of the ministers decision in due course.

Hi @moro, My wife applied on Dec 2011, based on 5 years stamp 3, no offense, traffic ticket or anything like that, contacting INIS every month with the same answer, still in Stage 2 since October 2012, waiting for external reports :(, I applied 4 months before her based on 5 years stamp 4, it took 1 year and 4 months to get the approval, she is still waiting :(

Hopefully so! The only thing I can think of is that my application has alwaus been complicated, I applied the first time and my whole application was returned to me asking for more documents at the time I was pretty young so I didn't even bother replying for few months, it was a hassle to get all them documents.
Then eventually got my act together and sent documents button application Was returned and was asked to fill the new form, something I can't understand really .. I did so and sent my application October 2011 only to get my reference number 2 months later.

So this bloody application is a hassle I assume they ate not managing change of stamps and my parents stamps very well..I don't know if you are familiar with the whole minors change of status stamp 2A at the age of 16 then stamp 2 at then applied for stamp 4..

Ok rant is over :D

From this forum I noticed that many applicants who applied at the same period are still stuck, a member called couny I think just got his approval few days ago.
Lets hope for the best :D

There are the mobile tripod speed cameras. The Gardai like to set them up on downhill portions of road too and hide behind bushes too.

Most importantly, did you (titi233) notify INIS of this? If not then they will have to go the gard to get a report. This will drag things out as this is the last thing that a gard would want to do on top of all the other bureaucratic paperwork they have to do.

edit: responded to the wrong person

38km on 30km zone is kinda harsh. Its 38km we're talking about here not 165km in a 100km zone!. And the mobile camera even makes it very very difficult for people going about in their daily lives.
