Thanks Integrated. I saw few posts from members talking about the department contacting them about their issues with the courts and immigration.IntegratedMigrant wrote:Hi @moro, there are no backlogs anymore. You can view the breakdown of the applications by year here

There are only 5,200 applicants currently waiting in excess of more than 6 months!
If you're one of those applicants, then its purely based on your application/case. A decision will however be made on your applicant by latest the end of the year presumably.
I totally agree with you, the wait is a killer indeed. Especially having seen so many people you applied before gotten approved.moro1 wrote:Thanks Integrated. I saw few posts from members talking about the department contacting them about their issues with the courts and immigration.
The issue is that I never had such an issue with the guards neither the court , arrived to the state as a minor at the age of 12 and now I am a student in college.
This is why opened this topic try to discuss the issue with others who have similar problem.
Hopefully we will hear good news soon..because this wait is a killer
Hi @moro, My wife applied on Dec 2011, based on 5 years stamp 3, no offense, traffic ticket or anything like that, contacting INIS every month with the same answer, still in Stage 2 since October 2012, waiting for external reports :(, I applied 4 months before her based on 5 years stamp 4, it took 1 year and 4 months to get the approval, she is still waiting :(IntegratedMigrant wrote:Hi @moro, there are no backlogs anymore. Hopefully so! The only thing I can think of is that my application has alwaus been complicated, I applied the first time and my whole application was returned to me asking for more documents at the time I was pretty young so I didn't even bother replying for few months, it was a hassle to get all them documents.IntegratedMigrant wrote:I totally agree with you, the wait is a killer indeed. We also must agree that there is a reason unknown to you why your case has been delayed for so long which the INIS can never disclose to you. Because there is no backlog, whatever reason your case may be will be pushed really fast and you'll be notified of the ministers decision in due course.
From this forum I noticed that many applicants who applied at the same period are still stuck, a member called couny I think just got his approval few days ago.immigrant411 wrote:Hi @moro, My wife applied on Dec 2011, based on 5 years stamp 3, no offense, traffic ticket or anything like that, contacting INIS every month with the same answer, still in Stage 2 since October 2012, waiting for external reports , I applied 4 months before her based on 5 years stamp 4, it took 1 year and 4 months to get the approval, she is still waitingIntegratedMigrant wrote:Hi @moro, there are no backlogs anymore. There are the mobile tripod speed cameras. The Gardai like to set them up on downhill portions of road too and hide behind bushes too.IntegratedMigrant wrote:titi233 wrote:There isnt any speed cameras on 30km zones, how in the hell did you get caught out??moro1 wrote:Hi, do you have any offences or had any communication with the department ? yes doing 38 on 30km 80 euro fine 2 point on licence it happen six month after my applicationtiti233 wrote:still waiting as well since sep 2011 now 22 month

38km on 30km zone is kinda harsh. Its 38km we're talking about here not 165km in a 100km zone!. And the mobile camera even makes it very very difficult for people going about in their daily lives.titi233 wrote:by the mobile speed camera around 2am in d morningIntegratedMigrant wrote:How did you get caught?titi233 wrote:there is all inner city centre dublin are now 30km
