ILR Form Filling

Post by chindan1 » Thu Jul 04, 2013 9:32 am

Dear Friends,

I have few questions while filling up the ILR form, can any one kindly answer please.

Background: I have got my first entry clerance on 14th Aug, 2008 and entered UK about a month after EC i.e on 21st Sep, 2008. I have been to India and Europe on holidays all together not more than 40 days in last 5 years.

Based on Entry Clerance I am to apply ILR from 18th July 2013 (with in 28 days before 5 Year period)

Questions:-
1. In the ILR form, there is questions "How Long have you lived in UK"; can I write it as 4 Years 10 Months, becuase say If I apply on July 18th 2013, My stay starts when I have first landed in UK? OR should I write it as 4 Years 11 Months based on my Visa first Start date?

2. Another section in ILR asked to "list all absences however short" - should I list all absences related to holidays to India to visit parents? some times I have less than a week holiday - they are not work related absences.

Please advise.

you help appreciated.

best regards

1. When you landed uk that is the first entry date you should mention.
2. You must confirm all the absence from uk. You can say it family visit.

I hope this answer satisfy ur questions
