From temp to ILR

Quick question for clarification as there is to much info to sift through:
My wife got temp leave to remain before new July 2012 regs. We are up for renewal (after 2 years) for ILR. I don't earn 18,600 by myself, my wife has a solid job, we don't claim anything off the state.

Are we ok? Do July 2012 regs not apply for us? Do we even have to do the 5 year temporary thing?
