Fund requirement

Post by ankur6006 » Fri Jul 05, 2013 7:51 pm

Hello Everybody

I would be really great if someone can help me out...

I need to bring my daughter from India, she is 6 months old.

My question is how much fund I need to show in my bank statement and how long for?

I am in UK since 2004 and on Tier 1 Genernal since July 2009. But I was outside UK for 11 months (August 2012 to June 2013). But I am back now.

clause: 45-48

To be on safe side, I think it would be better if you could have 1800 x 2 + 900=4500 of funds when you apply. As it clearly states in the guidance that you should have BEEN present in the UK for more than 12 months

Bank FDs and Payslips issue

Post by ankur6006 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 9:25 pm

Thanks for your reply.

Can I show bank FDs in my and my wife's name in India (NRI FDs)?

Am I required to submit last 3 month payslips?

I have just started working, letter from employer is available stating my salary is enough?

There is no such guidance or policy document, which says that you cannot show proof of funds by means of fixed deposits, but you have to get a letter from the bank or building society that these funds are readily accessible anytime and can be liquidated anytime by the account holder without the need for any early notification prior to withdrawal of all the money.

You need to show last 3 months payslips in order to satisfy the requirement that you are economically active and can maintain your dependants without any need for public funds (if not have your employment contract detailing your salary ,and your start date)
