ILR application

Post by Qadeer786 » Sun Jul 07, 2013 9:21 am

Hi All,
I am currently on Tier-2 ICT and wish to apply for ILR this year, however need some guidance on my understanding of the new rules since 13 Dec 2012.

My travel history..
July 2012 to July 2013 - 20 days annual leave
July 2011 to July 2012 - 20 days annual leave
July 2010 to July 2011 - 99 days working in India, no UK pay, but have indian payslips for entire duration, working on same project, same company.
July 2009 to July 2010 - 6 days of travel outside UK for non-work.
July 2008 to July 2009 - 14 days annual leave
July 2007 to July 2008 - 190 days working in India, no UK pay, but have indian payslips for entire duration, working on same project, same company.

Ofcourse the duration of 2007 to 2008 need not be considered as it falls into the 6th year. Reading the rules, the 90 days is not a problem anymore as long as i can prove it, i can get a letter from employer stating that i was working offshore for same company same project.. Is there anything more that is needed since its employment related and are the "compelling & compassionate" reasons still needed apart from the fact that i was still working ?

Secondly, i wrote the Life in UK test in april 2012, although i dont see any validity for it, can i still consider it as valid for the application ? I obviously didnt loose my english skills :)

Any inputs are highly appreciated !!

Thanks,
Qadeer
