sponsorship for tier 4 applicant

Post by ceobot » Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:25 pm

I am currently on PSW visa and my wife is my dependent. My visa expires on December 2013.
My wife is going to switch for a TIER 4 visa on September to study in University.
I still don't know will I apply for her dependent or will switch to Tier 1 (entrepreneur) visa, so I will decide after her application.

Due to UKBA policy guidelines to be her sponsor I need to show maintenance funds + study expenses on my account held for 1 month, I am ok with this, but my question is can they refuse her application because my Visa expires in 3 months time ?

Many thanks in advance!

To switch into tier 4 student your dependant wife need to apply from outside the country and you cannot financially sponsor her with your funds in your account rather can transfer to her fund. Most usually other than the main applicant its parents/legal guardian can sponsor along with the relationship proof such as birth certificate etc.
