Countersign - UK Passport for Minor

Hi all,

Can someone please confirm if we can use an IT professional to countersign for 1 year old's Passport application


I used an accountant and same IT professional as referee for MN1,


my accountant friend is on holidays so only option is the IT guy

I know this has been answered in FAQ's already

that for Kids Home office is little flexible,


My question is if this apply when applying for passport as well

When applying for Passport are they flexible on professionals who can countersign photo and the passport form ?

I am planning to ask one of my friend who works in IT to sign it for me son

IPS/HMPO are more strict than in registration application.
