Passport extension and UKBA

Hi all,
I wonder if someone could guide me please
I am tier 1 general visa and recently I have extended my passport.
Do I need to inform UKBA about my new passport ?

no...but when you extend ur stay u will need to attach both passport with your application...

you do not need to inform it now rather when filling up application for your extension or any other type of visa then in passport section give details of your new passport too. Just carry and joint both passports together.
