Tier 1 , 2nd extension - claiming period query-Emp+ self Emp

Post by priyaa » Tue Jul 09, 2013 11:54 am

Hi please can anyone suggest under Tier 1 2nd extension, when claiming earnings based on employment + self-employment the claiming period for both employment and self-employment should be 12 months before the application is submitted? Say for eg: my claim period for employment is from July12- June 13 and for self-employment it is Jan13- July 13. The total earnings period wild then be July 12- July13 which will then be 13 months. Does it work like this?? If yes then they will consider my most recent earnings comprising of 12 months so I will lose my claim for July 12 salary?

As per what is mentioned above if I want to show my July 13 self-employed earning I will have to shift my salary month to Aug 12 ensuring that my full 12 months’ salary should be part of the 12 months claimed period.my salary gets credited on 14th of every month this month 14th being Sunday my salary will get credited on 12th July Friday. I will be submitting my application on 13th (Saturday) as my visa expires on 14th July. Even though my salary credited on the 12th for the July month but just before my visa expiry, will home office going to raise this point that my july salary claim is invalid as it falls out of my visa expiry period?? i.e the salary credited into my account on 12 th belongs to the full July month.!! Please help it is urgent!

As your visa is expiring on the 14th August, you can show earnings upto 12th August provided you have a payslip and amount in the bank statement.
