Tier 1 G dependant application- multiple bank accounts

Post by computaboi » Tue Jul 09, 2013 5:57 pm

Can a Tier 1 (G) dependent submit bank statements from multiple bank accounts to meet maintenance funds criteria ?

I have read PBS guidance for migrants but neither did I come across anything that says bank statements from different bank accounts are acceptable nor unacceptable.

Let example let's say applicant must show £600 over 90 day consecutive period

Applicant has >600 in 'Bank_account_1' from 01 May 2013 to 11 May 2013,

From 11 May 2013 to 25 May 2013 he has £400 in 'Bank_account_1'.

However he also has £300 in 'Bank_account_2' from 11 May 2013 to 26 May 2013 , which makes total funds that he has access to from 11 May 2013 to 25 May 2013 is £700(>600)

from 26 May 2013 to applicant will have >600 up to July 2013.

Will home office raise any concerns with the above application in regards to maintenance funds?

You can show multiple accounts for maintenance requirements, although ensure end of each day's balance should not drop below £600 pounds at any given time.

To provide more comfort to the case worker, try to get letter/letters from the banks stating the balances have never fallen below the required level on any given day throughout the 90 day period

For generic information referring to your query about using 2 bank accounts the following link maybe helpful for you, although its in tier 4 section:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... nce/money/

If you provide evidence from two or more accounts, we will assess the money available to you as being:

the closing balance of one account; plus
any additional money available to you on the date of that closing balance, for which you have provided the required evidence.
We will always use the closing balance date from the account that most favours you.
