Self Employed VS Ltd Company

Post by prajwal87 » Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:27 pm

To all you Visa Guru out there.

I will be applying for Entrepreneur Visa through PSW 50K route. I am currently working as a Freelance Compositor/Graphic Designer in TV commercials and films. I have registered as Self employed from past 6 months. Therefore my business will be offering VFX/Graphic design services and will be investing into Software,Computers, camera etc. I wish to apply for the Entrepreneur visa using the self employed route. Please let me know if there are any advantages of setting up a company or is it ok to go through the Self employed route. I am new to this forum and any feedback/help will be grateful. Cheers ..

Thanks for the reply @rehan01.

I did have a read on both Self employed and LTD company .. at the moment Self employed favours me in most ways. If there is someone in the forum whose secured Visa through this route any guidance would be great.

I will update this thread throughout the process of my application. Thanks

From Taxes point of view it makes a lot of difference. Benefits are limited under self employment where as hassle is comparably high for private ltd company setup and maintenance.

Just curious to know about trading contract. Anybody have an experience in creating trading contracts or have some resource that I can glance and make one of my own? Basically in VFX as a freelancer I have not had a contract as such since its mostly by Email and word of Mouth. But I really want to make a professional Trading contract apart from my Invoice. Any views or discussion in earlier threads would be of immense help. Cheers
