Family Visitor Visa Duration and Re-Entry

Post by Babajee85 » Fri Jul 12, 2013 12:05 pm

Hi Folks,

I have one question about the family visitor visa.I am going to apply for a two years family visitor visa for my parents.IF they got it then lets say if they stay here for 6 months and go back. Then come back after 4 months for another 6 months....Will it be okay. Can they do this.

I mean they can re-enter whenever they want even in one visit they have already stayed 6 months.

Please advise.

Thanks

They cannot stay for more than 180 days in a given year.

Multi-entry visit visas are normally valid for either:
 six months
 12 months
 two years
 five years, or
 10 years.
Visas are valid for an unlimited number of journeys within the validity period of the visa.
People holding visit visas can only remain in the UK for a maximum of six months on any one
visit, or until the visa expires if less than six months. This restriction is indicated on the visa by
the entry ‘180’ days after the ‘Duration of stay’ section.
