Visa Extension / ILR

Post by mahajanvivek » Fri Jul 12, 2013 1:43 pm

Hi,

I got my Tier-1 Visa on 1st March, 2010. I came to the UK 30th March 2010.
Got my Tier-1 Visa extended and the new visa got extended till 1 March, 2015. Based on this i would have completed 4 years, 11 months and 2 days.

I wanted to know that next time do i have to apply for extension or can i apply for ILR at that time.

Your comments will be much appreciated.

you visa issue date and arrival to uk date are less than 90 days, hence your ILR clock starts on 1st march 2010

you can apply 28 days before completing 5 years, so you can apply for ILR without any problem,

but remember UKBA changes rules every year as per current rule you are fine.
