Change of citizenship Ceremony Venue

Post by ssvgopal » Sat Jul 13, 2013 11:24 am

Hi All,

I received my citizenship approval letter, dated 2 July 2013, on 12 July.

NCS applied at : Hounslow
Requested Venue : Hounslow
Earliest group ceremony at Hounslow available date : 11 Sept 2013
Earliest private ceremony at Hounslow : 16 July 2013 (fee £200 extra)

My options :
1. wait till 11 Sept at Hounslow
2. book private ceremony at Hounslow and lose £200
3. Request for change of venue to other councils which have ceremonies in the nearer future.

Could you pls advise what is the procedure for change of venue of the ceremony? UKBA site mentions CCST(Citizenship Ceremonies Support Team) as liasing with local councils. How can I contact them?
What do you think is the typical time taken to change the venue?

Regards,
Sai
