British citizen moving to.Ireland with Albanian spouse

Post by mluka12 » Sat Jul 13, 2013 7:18 pm

Im new to this site so sorry if this has been posted before.
I am a British citizen currently staying in albania with my fiance. We are getting married on 23rd of this month. I am pregnant with our first baby and having been refused entry clearance to the UK me and my spouse are wanting to move to.Ireland. I would really like to be as close to home for the birth of our baby and am of Irish heritage so believe this is the best move for us. The problem is I have no idea how to fo about getting my husband to Ireland. If anyone could help me answer a few questions I would be so grateful. Firstly what visa do we apply for and do we have to pay? Secondly what would the application involve and thirdly would it be better for us to travel together as I was planning on going first with my mum to sort out accommodation etc.
Thankyou so much in advance for reading my post.

An EU national needs to be a worker, self-sufficient or student in order to reside in another member state. Their family members can accompany or join them.

Best to read directive 2004/38/ec.

You have not broken any rules. However, if you've got a question, it can be better to ask it in your own thread rather than posting in another's. That way, there may be less confusion.
